Meet The Team

The entire Racing For Veterans USA team is comprised of volunteers, please check out our members below.

David Brinkely

President

"I was born in a little town called Ahoskie, NC and moved to Wilmington, NC when I was 14. I am a Marine Contractor by trade, but my first love is Drag Racing. My father was in the Reserves, which fueled my passion for the military. I believe that our military and veterans are born to do things, I was not. We started building The Patriot car to show our support for those that have/and continue to serve our country."

Kelly Brinkley

Secretary

"I am originally from Philadelphia (Go Eagles!) and moved to Wilmington, NC 20+ years ago. My dad is a Vietnam Veteran, which he really doesn't talk about. It was only when I started my career in healthcare that I began to see the sacrifices not only our military, but their families make and continue to make. I believe that our military is the reason why we are here today and able to live the free lives that we live. I am so excited to be a part of RFVUSA, and be able to give back."

Ashton Bishop

Board Member

"I am excited for Racing For Veterans USA to bring veterans and their families together in the world of drag racing. Where everyone can have fun and experience the trill of watching cars fly down the track. I believe giving back to veterans who have given so much to us is essential. I hope this organization makes a difference in their lives."

Dean Brooks

Board Member

"I was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. I found my passion for Drag racing at the young age of 16 (started in the streets of Wilmington) then I tried some bracket racing for a few years. But my heart was always Heads Up racing. My grandfather was a veteran, which makes it an honor to be apart of Racing For Veterans USA."

Savannah Roberts

Board Member

"I was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. Many people in my family are veterans and/or active duty, so I have great respect for our military members. I enjoy working on my classic car, riding horses, and spending time outdoors. I believe RFVUSA is a good organization that gets veterans to the track to have fun and make friendships that can make a difference in their lives. Enjoy the ride, no matter if it is bumpy or smooth because we are all blessed to be rolling."

Shane Beck
'House'

Board Member

"My hometown is Wilmington, NC. My grandfather (US Army), Dad (US Air force), Step-Dad (US Army), and my Father-In Law (US Air Force) all served in the military. I am honored to be apart of the RFVUSA Crew. It is important to me to give back to the men and women that risk their lives for our freedom. The Veterans deserve the utmost respect and honor we can possible give to them. I'm a big guy with a big heart."

Cheryl Munizza

Treasurer

"I was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and only moved to beautiful Wilmington, NC 6 years ago. My husband of 55 is a Vietnam Veteran. The men and women that step forward and into a military uniform to serve and defend the freedom of this wonderful country deserve all the help they can get. They give so much and in some cases, they make the ultimate sacrifice. I am very proud to be a part of RFVUSA, offering fun opportunities to a deserving veteran and their family. I hope you will all consider 'racing' forward to help these most deserving men, women, and their families."
